Hi Cindy,
thank you so much of your awesome email and all that story in there. I know that your life has not been so easy as many believes, but you are covering that very well. Anyway all who knows you better, know the truth too.
I could say that i know what is most important, is believing itself and loving itself, if not accept itself, it is very hard to accept anybody else.

I am happy to be part in your circle and it would be nice to hear time to time, how are you doing my friend.

All the best to you and yours!
POWERHUGS:)

OY! Yes glad you did something else this year for your birthday. I agree.... they should be ashamed. I don't know what the solution is but I do know that other cities are not as ruthless

Hey Cindy! Last year, on my birthday, I took the kids to see South Pacific. Same deal on the ticket - but mine was for $30. This was after paying the $10 (which I already thought was outrageous!) I would have fought it too, except: I don't live in Toronto! I would have had to take a day off work to travel to Toronto to sit around to get a court date, then come back on that court date to fight it! It's a serious money-grab, and the city should be ashamed. In fact, I did, at least, tell the parking authority so.

The soul searching I did? Where in my life am I not being clear. (similar to yours!)

Take solace in the knowledge that your fine was half of mine! (And this year, for my birthday, I went to the theatre in Niagara on the Lake. Parking fee? Six bucks.

Cheers!

I know right? They count on the fact that it is only $15 and people can't be bothered to fight that. I seriously considered fighting it but instead I did this video.... maybe it will bring awareness. City of Toronto is HORRIBLE when it comes to NOT being clear on their policies. L.A. was much better when I lived there. They even paved the curbs so you knew where to park, where not to and for how long. Ex. red curb means do not park, green is yes but for a certain amount of time, etc... Cindy

Aughgghghh - I hate those kinds of tickets Cindy. Wish someone had the time to go and fight it and make a big scene in the papers about it - but it is not me. I'd also just pay it. When they have courts open at night - off hours for day time business - then I'll fight it. Hugs....S>

Thank you so much Randy... I hadn't sung opera in 3 years and decided to pay homage to my roots. I have been getting amazing feedback on my opera and I love singing it so I may indeed do much more in my performances in future. HUGS, Cindy
